Mudras

Mudras are a seal or a gesture which enhances the energy flow in the body. Various mudras like Hasta, Mana, Kaya, Bhandha, Adharaa mudras can be practiced for various causes.

In yoga and meditation we often use mudras alongside Pranayama (yoga breathing exercises), usually when seated cross-legged in Sukhasana, Virasana or Padmasana. Mudras are also incorporated into the physical practice of yoga asana.
